Commissioned to paint

 I've been commissioned to paint three canvases for a client for a music room. Each of the canvases are 60x40 inches and two ( in partrait ) will match with a conductor and musical instroments where as the other ( landscape ) needs to be of a music shelf and record players with musical notes.
So far these sketches are as far as I have got.

I have a feeling that this is going to get intersting!

Book Launch

I've just been around local area giving out these posters in the hopes of rasing interest in the book launch I'm doing at a local cafe.

While doing this, someone asked if maybe I'd like to do a workshop!
Heck, I'll give that a go. It's all free buplicity I guess.

I've been trying to think what I could do at this launch and the only thing I can think of is sitting there, desplaying some of the original sketches and showing off my first draft with it's messy Dyslexic hand writing.

Well, fingers crossed

So it starts on Saturday and finishes on Monday at the same time.

Gitting an ISBN

I've been trying to get info on obtaining an ISBN number for my children's book.

Now I'm not sure it's because I'm Dyslexic or that the information is just that hard to find but I couldn't get a search engine to give me the answer I needed.

So I made a made an enquiry at the British Library.
This was their response.

Woot!

I hope that woot wasn't premature.

swallowtail butterfly

After a 5 hour (one way) trip and a few days in Norflok I finally found what I was looking for.

Swallowtail Butterflies!  They're hard to find, even if you do know where they might be.

Being butterflies they are cold blooded and so need the sun to warm up.

They are well worth looking for though.

Donated

I've just dropped off some of my photographs to Creative support (learning disabilities and mental health support and housing). I'm donating them for a raffle they are having at their summer event this month.

The Photographs are of local sites in the northeast like this one of Saltburn.
